City of Rocks, in Idaho, offers an exceptional bouldering experience amidst its iconic granite spires and formations. This national reserve is a climber's haven, with its fine-grained granite providing a plethora of bouldering problems. While famous for sport and traditional climbs, bouldering at City of Rocks is equally rewarding, offering accessible problems for climbers of all levels.<br><br>Ideal bouldering seasons are spring and fall, with cooler temperatures allowing for comfortable climbs. However, summer provides an opportunity to enjoy the area with fewer visitors. The elevation exceeds 6,000 feet, bringing snow in winter and making it less suitable for bouldering during this time.
